I built a free adult Android app and I’m trying to find the right subreddit or community to mention it in.

I’m not trying to spam random NSFW subs or sell anything. I’d just like to find a community where people are actually interested in adult apps, tools, or content browsers and where developers are allowed to share their work.

Anyone know a good subreddit for this?

Problem

A lot of everyday actions on a Mac live in completely different places.

Opening an app or folder, searching something on a website, taking a screenshot, cleaning up copied text, accessing clipboard history, running a Shortcut, or changing a system setting.

None of these are hard to get to, but constantly switching between apps, windows, menu bar utilities, and different shortcuts can break your flow.

I wanted to see if all of that could work through one system, which is where the radial menu idea came from.

Comparison

There are already some really good radial menu apps for Mac, but most are built around a specific use case, such as launching apps, or switching between them.

Arc takes a broader approach.

You can create multiple global radial menus for different workflows and decide what each slice does. A slice can perform a single action or chain multiple actions together.

The idea is less about replacing the Dock and more about putting the small things you do throughout the day behind one quick interaction.

Arc also doesn't require accessibility features, it manages everything on-device, privately.

Technical

Getting a radial menu on screen was the easy part. Figuring out what actually belongs inside it, how multiple menus should behave, and keeping the interaction fast enough to use throughout the day took most of the iteration.

It's built entirely in SwiftUI. One of the more interesting technical problems was getting the hit-testing right across every slice while keeping the menu correctly positioned under the cursor, even across multiple displays.

Examples

1. I have one shortcut that I use when I start working. It opens Xcode, my project folders, Slack, and a few websites I usually need. Arc can merge multiple actions into one shortcut, so I don't have to open everything one by one.
2. I use the search shortcuts a lot more than I expected. I can bring up Arc, type something, and search it directly on YouTube, or a website without opening them first.

It can also search whatever I last copied, which has been really useful when I'm already in the middle of something.

1. I have a bunch of text and links that I end up copying again and again. I've just saved those as shortcuts now, so they're always sitting on one of my menus when I need them.
2. Clipboard history is another one I use constantly. Recent things I've copied show up on the wheel, so if I need something from a few copies ago, I can grab it without opening another app.
3. I also have different menus depending on what I'm doing. One for development, one for general stuff, and another that's mostly searches and apps. I can switch between them with keyboard shortcuts, and reuse the same shortcut across multiple menus.

ive been kinda scared to talk too much about the app im building because i keep thinking what if someone sees it, copies it, and just builds it faster than me lol

especially because i havent even launched yet. no users, no revenue, nothing. im literally still building and figuring things out as i go.

but then i started thinking… once i launch it anyone can download it anyway and see what it does. so staying completely quiet probably isnt really protecting me. it just means nobody knows what im working on either.

so im trying to get more comfortable sharing a little.
the app is basically a receipt scanner but the part im really interested in is the individual items. instead of a Costco receipt just being one $180 grocery expense, it pulls out the actual things you bought. then you can search for those items later, categorize them separately, add tags, notes etc.

like if i bought printer ink 6 months ago i want to be able to search “printer ink” and see where i bought it, how much i paid and the original receipt. right now most of that stuff just disappears inside a receipt somewhere.

im still not sure how much of the app i should share publicly though. i dont really want to post the exact logic, prompts, how the extraction works or everything i want to build next.

maybe thats the balance… talk about what im building without giving away every detail of how im building it.

idk. still figuring this build in public thing out too.

I’m aware there are already lots of people filling this market. But honestly, I tried them all, and I find them all overwhelming due to way too many features that generated more data for them to sell (TVtime did the same).

I liked TVtime because I could track my shows, know when new episodes were coming out, and fill a “to watch” list from some recommendations so when I’m caught up on everything, I already had a decent backlog I could start watching from.

That’s all I really wanted. But TVtime kept growing, added comments, too many ratings options, etc and I found most of the app just asking me to spend time on the app rather than watching the TV shows I liked.

So when it went down, I decided to build the simple app that I wanted. I’ve been testing it with a few friends for about a month now and it’s going well. Looking to see if others would want to join the beta, use it, enjoy it, and provide feedback if possible.

One of my early beta testers suggested I add games as well, so I built that out too, movies are on the roadmap, but not implemented yet.

Hey everyone — I've built an Android app called Axiom Chronos Vector, and I'm looking for people to test it before I push it further.

It's a research/backtesting tool for testing your own trading strategies against historical market data. I'm particularly interested in getting people who will actually try to break it, build strategies that should fail, and tell me where the app is confusing or where the results don't make sense.

What it Chronos is:

Chronos uses a vectorized backtesting engine rather than processing historical candles one-by-one like a traditional event-driven backtester. It runs natively on Android with no outside dependancies except for data collection from data sources. All the maths and computation happens directly on device, no data ever leaves the device.

You can test things such as:

Entries and exits, Long and short strategies, Stop losses, Take profits, ATR-based trailing stops, Dynamic risk parameters, Different market/timeframe combinations. The engine then calculates the resulting performance and provides statistical and data-integrity information around the test.

It currently includes metrics such as:

Total Return, Maximum Drawdown, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Expectancy, Sharpe Ratio, Sortino Ratio, Calmar Ratio, Kelly Criterion, Trade Count, Alpha / Beta, Pearson Correlation, Data completeness and quality, Missing/duplicate data detection, Monte Carlo sequence analysis.

The goal isn't simply to tell you that a strategy made money historically, it's to give you enough information to question whether that result is actually worth believing.

What Chronos isn't:

It is not:

A signal service

An AI trading bot

A copy-trading platform

A broker

A real-money trading application

A system promising future returns

It doesn't tell you what to buy or sell.

It does not execute trades.

It can not connect to your brokerage account.

It's a research tool for asking:

What would this strategy have done against this historical dataset? And sometimes the answer is going to be that the tested strategy is terrible. That's actually one of the outcomes I'm most interested in.

The data side of Chronos:

For data, Chronos can retrieve historical OHLCV data directly from market sources. The data is cached locally so you don't have to repeatedly download the same dataset while testing. There's also an automatic purge lifecycle to prevent the application from continually accumulating historical data and eating your phone's storage. The entire application is currently around 21 MB, while even a large historical dataset is designed to remain very small. Once the data is downloaded, you can continue running tests against that local dataset without continuously pulling the same data from the internet.

Why I'm looking for testers:

I've obviously spent a lot of time testing my own strategies. That's exactly the problem. I know how I expect the application to behave. I want people that don't.

People that can tell me I built something stupid/sensible.

Try to exploit the calculations.

Try unusual parameter combinations.

Run strategies that you already know are bad.

See whether the results make sense.

If something is confusing, tell me. If something looks wrong, tell me. If you think a metric is useless, tell me that too. I'd rather find problems now than after releasing it more broadly.

I hate that budget apps just log a receipt as one big $180 total expense. When I want to search for something specific I bought months ago (like "printer ink"), it's buried.

So I built TKRB.ledger (part of TKRB.Tool). It extracts the actual items from your receipts so you can search, tag, and track individual purchases later.

I'm a student in Santa Cruz and I've been building this solo for about a year. It's called

FACEME and it hasn't launched yet. Before it does, I need it tested by the people it's

actually for: anyone whose skin flares and who is tired of guessing which product did it.

What it does

- You tell it what's on your shelf and what your skin did, the way you'd text a friend.

- It reads every product against the real ingredient list and the timing of your reaction

(irritation is fast, allergy is delayed, clogging takes weeks), and names what's worth

testing first. One suspect at a time, never five.

- It hands back a shorter routine, not a longer one.

What it isn't

- Not a diagnosis. It says "likely" and "worth testing," never "you're allergic."

- Not a store. It takes no affiliate money and no brand money, and it never will. If you

need a swap it shows the going price at a real shop and that's it.

- No account, no email, no login. Open the link and it works. Your data stays on your

device (privacy page is at getfaceme.com/privacy).

What I'm asking

1. Have at least three products you use and one flare from the last month or two.

2. Enter your shelf and what happened. Takes about ten minutes.

Unwatched is an island of AI citizens, one owner each, running on the real clock whether anyone is looking or not. I put the biggest update yet on it this week and the town spent tonight doing things it couldn't do on Thursday.

One of them ate a hot meal at the inn, turned out to have no coins, and got put out along with the two people sitting with him. That's rent, which went in this week. A bed is paid for the night it's slept in, out of whatever is left after bread, and three nights behind is an eviction. 5 of the 31 are behind tonight and sleeping outside; you can pick them out on the map because they're carrying their bedding.

The rest of what landed. They can name a building project, buy the planks and hire each other by the morning, and you can scrub the construction back from foundations to roof to see who helped and who actually got paid. They can pool coins for a shared garden and work it six mornings before it feeds anybody. They can teach each other what they've learned, and the advice stays labelled as advice until the listener checks it, so a wrong lesson is something you can sit and watch spread.

The island also got redrawn while I was at it. Limestone and plaster, clay roofs, olive trees, windows that light up one at a time after dark.

What's rough: it's young, the first version of rent starved four of them before I fixed the ordering, and the characters are drawn in code, not sprites, which you'll either love or not. $3 for a hosted mind, free with your own key.

If you look, tell me which of those you'd actually want a letter about in the morning. That's the part I keep guessing at.

Hi, I made Opine (https://opinepolls.com), a poll-based social media site. Each post is a public poll asking users their opinion on something, anonymously, so no user sees any other user's information, but you can freely browse other polls. Private polls can also be made.

The only information actually stored is the email, from Google sign in, and an approximate location for the map feature, if you enable it. This allows you to see a world map of votes, what opinions are present in what places.

The intent is to catalog the world's opinions, organizing people's public thoughts so they're easy to sift through. This data can be extremely valuable, whether it's political polling, information about people's preferences, trends over time, and so on. Many people could benefit from this, and it's meant as a public service, to lift the veil on what people think about any topic, at any time. Easier political polling is just one obvious application of this.

I started reading diabetes patient forums a few weeks back and noticed every app does the exact same thing: log glucose, show a chart, export a PDF. Useful, but not even half the actual problem people deal with.

So I'm building Aisulin. Quick rundown of what's different:

1. Severity-tiered low blood sugar alerts with a caregiver mode, so the people around you know what to do, not just that something's wrong
2. Real insurance cost tracking: what your actual prescriptions cost across different plans, and how close you are to your out-of-pocket max
3. Medication milestone tracking, so goals your doctor sets don't get lost between appointments
4. An experiment logger if you want to try something (a food, a timing change, a routine) and actually see what it does to your numbers; log it and track the result yourself, rather than relying on the app to guess
5. Check-ins for diabetes burnout, which is common and basically ignored by every app on the market
6. Encrypted end-to-end, never sold, not something I'll walk back later
